Call for Proposals: Gender Initiative Grants

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

The Saida Waheed Gender Initiative is pleased to announce a call for proposals. The Initiative will provide grants to faculty for the pursuit of creative and interdisciplinary research and projects relating to gender in Pakistan. In line with our Mission and Philosophy, the Initiative seeks to promote approaches that attend to the shifting and contested meanings of gender across different contexts.

The Initiative will provide funds to cover expenses such as:

  • Travel money to conduct research (e.g. a series of pilot interviews in preparation for a case study and/or a project)
  • Funds to involve a student research assistant in gender-related work
  • Funds to host an event or small conference
  • Funds to invite a researcher/faculty member/activist from another institution in the South Asia region

All LUMS faculty are eligible to apply. For more details, and to access the application, click here.
