The Digital Rights Foundation (DRF) conducted a session on 'Navigating Online Harms and Gendered Disinformation in Pakistan' in collaboration with the Saida Waheed Gender Initiative at LUMS. The facilitators focused on the different kinds of online harms, particularly those emerging through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the form of hate speech, technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) and gendered disinformation. We explored how these harms have evolved due to the use of AI and were provided tools on how to navigate online spaces and spot generative AI content online.
