This talk explored the potential as well as methodological and contextual challenges of combining and experimenting with two methodologies, cooperative inquiry and arts-informed research through a decolonizing feminist lens in the context of Pakistan. 

Dr. Shama Dossa is a community development practitioner, activist, researcher and academic. She is currently Assistant Dean at the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and Interim Program Director in Social Development and Policy at Habib University. Her multidisciplinary research and teaching interests range from Participatory Action Research and Arts Informed Research to Transnational Feminism, Critical Theory, Medical Anthropology, and Community Driven Social Change. She has taught at Ryerson University’s, Department of Sociology; Aga Khan University’s, Department of Community Health Sciences; and Quaid-e-Azam University’s, Department of Gender Studies; and the University of Central Asia’s Graduate School of Development located in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
