The Saida Waheed Gender Initiative (SWGI) was pleased to launch its Spring calendar as it marked its 10-year anniversary. We cordially invited participants to a panel discussion, SWGI at 10: Feminist Legacies and Futures, which reflected on key developments in gender rights over the past decade and explored emerging challenges and opportunities for feminist scholarship, advocacy, and community engagement.
The conversation brought together scholarly and activist perspectives to examine enduring feminist legacies and envision pathways forward. We were honoured to be joined by three distinguished speakers: Khawar Mumtaz, Ismat Shahjehan, and Farieha Aziz. We were also especially thankful to Nighat Said Khan and LUMS Vice Chancellor Dr. Ali Cheema for their guest appearances.
